CGS Young Professionals Conference 2022

About Us
CGS Young Professionals Conference (previously known as the cYGEGC) is a conference for young professionals in geotechnical engineering and geosciences to network, learn, and present technical material to an audience of peers. In doing so, the intent is for the delegates to come out of the experience with more confidence and connections prior to attending the national conference, or other similar large-scale conferences.
This conference is the 7th iteration and the conference theme is Risky Business.
Our conference is followed by the GeoCalgary 2022 Conference, October 2-5 in Calgary, AB.

Conference Program
Theme: "Risky Business"
Geoscientists and geotechnical engineers work with materials that are heterogeneous, complex and have a high level of spatial variability across project areas. As societies grow and evolve, so do the consequences of failure. How do we manage uncertainty as young professionals in a changing environment?
